Admissions
NCA admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships, and other school-administered programs.
Our staff uses discretion when selecting a student for admission. We will admit only students and their families who demonstrate full support of the school. During the interview process, we carefully consider past activities and present attitudes of the student and his or her family. Students and parents are expected to belong to and attend regularly a local Bible-believing church. As well as, promote the commitment of marriage by the man and woman in the home being legally married.
Northwood Christian Academy has not sought accreditation by a governmental agency. Accreditation of a private Christian school is not necessary for a graduate of that school to enroll in most colleges. Registrars of such institutions are interested in the academic merits of individual students. They evaluate each applicant’s academic aptitude through nationally standardized tests, such as the ACT or SAT. NCA takes the Terra Nova standardized test each year. However, if a high school student transfers from NCA to another high school, they will most probably have to take and entrance exam for their credits to be accepted. The results of their Terra Nova Standardized test will also be considered.
